Mechanical Engineers

There is a range of manifold occupations for mechanical engineers. You will find opportunity and employment anywhere in places, where machines and plants are developed, constructed, operated and repaired or maintained. The majority of engineers work in research, development and construction. After all, innovation cycles are short due to global competition and this exacts a permant innovation of machines, plants and systems. A further, important area of occupation is in technical sales, since high-tech products require an intensive cooperation with customers all over the world. America, Asia, Europe- working in technical sales is highly demanding and appeals especially to sociable people who like to travel and have a good command of the English language.

Of all the German "talent pools" for engineering, the Hochschule Darmstadt has a reputation of excellence in the industry. We aspire to rank among the best and to prepare our students for the high requirements of the market. However, current rankings do not provide the only evidence of our repeated success.
